Cross River 2015: My Emergence Was Divine – Ayade
Ahead of the 2015 general elections, the Cross River State flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ben Ayade has said his emergence was not by his power but by the grace of God.
Ayade was speaking at a reception organised in his honour by the Cross River State Indigenes Development Association (CRIDA) in Abuja, saying he is prepared to work with the outgoing administration to ensure that consolidation and new grounds are explored to give the people of the state a good life.
‘The essence of governance is to add value to the lives of people and as well the economy, I did not emerge as PDP candidate by my might nor strength but by the Grace of the Almighty God, so I will be disappointing God if I go against the will of the people.”
“My agenda synchronise with that of the present administration because the picture about revenue accruing to the state is very clear to me, therefore from my first day in office, I will set the ball rolling for an enhanced and functional state economy”.
